Saul Kripke (1940–2022) was one of the most influential philosophers of the last century. His work on reference, necessity, and truth reshaped these fields, and his contributions to modal logic remain foundational. The Saul Kripke Center at the CUNY Graduate Center stewards Kripke’s archive and supports new work in the areas Kripke worked on (logic, philosophy of language, metaphysics, epistemology, and more). Your gift is essential for the archive, for student support, for research, and for events programing.
What your gift can support:
- A Kripke Oral Histories effort, including interviews with colleagues, students, and family.
- Our talks, workshops, and major conferences.
- Dissemination to the public of Kripke's ideas through non-specialist conversation events held at the Graduate Center and collaboration with philosophy podcasts.
- Our archival work of digitizing, cataloging, and systematizing materials.
- Fellowships and research activity by the Center's affiliates.
What you can get from your donation:
- We will keep you up to date for our events and public programs.
- If you opt in, we will send you our newsletter once per semester.
- If you opt in, we will have your name posted on a dedicated donor page on our website.
