SATX Social Ride is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our rides are structured to encourage new bike riders, as well as seasoned cycling veterans, to ride together as a community which serves some of San Antonio's core interests (health, family and charity).
We are a local social cycling organization which hosts weekly downtown rides on Tuesday nights. Our group is diverse in regards to age, gender, ethnicity and cycling abilities. Most of our rides are family friendly with parents taking young children in bike trailers or bikes equipped with child seats. Our occasional "hill rides" are geared towards riders looking for a more challenging ride and to burn more calories. All SATX rides are accompanied by our volunteer ride marshals who assist with mechanical issues as well as direct riders along the correct route.
In addition to hosting rides, our group regularly partners with other nonprofit organizations to help feed and care for the homeless population, gather diapers for families in need and collect school supplies for students in economically distressed schools. We also partner with private and governmental organizations to promote bike safety and education. SATX Social Ride also hosts the annual Bike Fiesta to raise money and awareness for Earn A Bike and other biking organizations in and around San Antonio.
Your support is crucial to assist our growth and dedication to bike safety and community service.
