Mt. Cross is once again teaming up with Lutheran Outdoor Ministries camps around the country for the 2nd Annual Run4Camp Virtual 5K. 

This is a great opportunity to have some fun and raise money for Mt. Cross! Anyone, anywhere can participate in this Virtual 5K, as a participant, a supporter, or both! You can walk, run, skip, roller blade, bike, wheel, crawl, treadmill, elliptical, swim, etc. - whatever way you want to complete your 5K is the right way! 

All proceeds from participant registration fees and sponsorships go directly to Mt. Cross.

Mt. Cross exists to provide profound experiences in God's creation, and we do that through youth summer camp, partnerships with congregations in northern California and northern Nevada, and welcoming guests for retreats throughout the year. We are located 9 miles north of Santa Cruz, in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and have been welcoming campers and retreat guests to this holy place for 73 years.

Run4Camp participants are asked to register and pay a $25 registration fee and find at least 5 people to sponsor you with a gift to Mt. Cross. You'll then be given the opportunity to create your own fundraising page, where you can set your personal goals for number of supporters and dollars raised. You can share your page with your friends, family, church community, on social media, or however you would like to help you achieve your goals. Your supporters can make a gift on your fundraising page, and in real time you can see who has given, say thank you, and know you are making it possible for so many people to experience God's love at camp.

Gifts of any size and amount are gratefully accepted and make a deep impact on Mt. Cross' ability to welcome all people to this place, regardless of their race, sexuality, gender identity or expression, language, or ability to pay. Some specific examples of what your gift can provide include:

• $3,500 provides the salary for 1 summer staff for the entirety of Summer 2022
• $1,000 makes it possible for us to rent a van for a week so our staff can travel to a Day Camp congregation
• $500 provides 1 week of camp for a camper
• $150 purchases the food for a camper for a week of summer camp
• $50 buys a day's-worth of arts and crafts supplies
• $25 provides a t-shirt for a camper
