Lucky Orphans would like to introduce you to Fezziwig Tulip aka Ruby!

Ruby is a Belgian Draft horse mare, born on October 31st, 2007. We know a lot about her. She is registered with the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation of America, meaning her family tree and records are in their database. Her registered name is Fezziwig Tulip. Her and her father arrived at LOHR in 2018. Their owner died young and left her beloved horses in her parent’s care. After a few years the parents could not afford to keep them or find them homes. They were going to put Pom and Ruby down, but we stepped in and brought them to the farm. 

Today Ruby is a crucial member of our therapy program on the farm. Her large size and gentle nature make people feel comfortable and safe. She always wants belly scratches and loves to have her mane braided while listening to people’s troubles.
