.... and so it began......after starting incubator gardens in Delray Beach, Auroras Voice took what they learned and placed focus on Lake Worth in 2018. With the closing of Grey Mockingbird Community Garden, there was a definite defined need in the community of Lake Worth to revitalize neglected green spaces and create more opportunities for our youth to fulfill their community service hours. Tiger Territory Community Garden had been struggling for years as some amazing volunteers came and went.

The mission of the Tiger Territory Community Garden is to revitalize a ¾ acre, urban community garden, owned by The School District of Palm Beach County and across the street from the North Grade Elementary School.

Guided by the ethics of Caring for the Earth, Caring for People, and Redistributing the Surplus to the needs of the community, the garden aims to serve as a demonstration site, community think tank and training center concentrating on climatically appropriate, regenerative agriculture techniques.

Along with the local Lake Worth community’s participation, the garden aims to provide entrepreneurial opportunities for young adults to manage, enabling them to navigate the economic system, while simultaneously addressing our ecological challenges. This will be achieved through a myriad of business concepts such as:

- Earth based fertilizer creation and soil amendments

- Community garden management

- Nursery management and seed sovereignty

- Energy harvesting

- Permaculture design

- Native reforestation

- Plant based products

- Native wildflower floral design

- Event management & volunteer coordination

- Social Media & website design

- Community Engagement & revitalization of neighborhoods

These small scale business concepts will be applied within the garden’s system itself, while also being applied to the local community. Tiger Territory Community Garden will serve as a place for education, restoration, and the rekindling of ecological connection.

GOALS: Programs in entrepreneurship, mindfulness and regenerative gardening so the community can apply what they learn to their lives, their yards and to beautify neighborhoods.

The funds from this campaign will support the build out of the Outdoor Classroom and the Water Catchment System Structure and our Garden Manager/Permaculture Designer extraordinaire, Jason Clements.
