It may not yet feel like it, but soon the Earth is going to start bursting open with new life. We’ll begin hearing birds again, tiny buds will form on trees, and crocuses will pop open. Another spring will have sprung. The Easter season, a celebration of Christ’s resurrection, couldn’t be better timed. Just when it feels like we can’t take one single moment more of winter, life and color and music burst into action.
Easter is also the season when the seed for the Live Greater Foundation was planted. Initially just a concept, the foundation now manages to provide little moments of resurrection to school children in Haiti; families in domestic violence shelters in Buffalo, Lincoln, and Houston; homeless men in New York City; and others. Through books, through turkey dinners, through welcome packages, through Christmas gifts, tiny bursts of life come through.
Your help provides moments of grace, kindness, and love to people in need. When we treat people with grace and compassion, we offer them a glimpse of how God’s love for them, by meeting their needs, even if it is just for one day. These are small interventions, but they can be transformative moments of grace for people who are in crisis.
