Reach for the Stars! At The Salvation Army in Caldwell, we encourage young people to Reach for the Stars through our FREE School for Music and the Arts program. Each year the students get an opportunity to showcase their talents at a competition called, "ENCORE", held at Camp Kuratli in Boring, Oregon. Students from all over Idaho and Oregon compete to represent the Cascade Division at the Territorial Competition. Many of our kids from Caldwell have never been outside of Treasure Valley, so for them to get to go to Oregon and win, means they get to go to California. This wonderful opportunity is not free and the cost for sending them is around $5,000.00. Most of the kids in our music and arts school could never afford private lessons or even participate in their schools, so your support, these kids can Reach for the Stars!
