Ali's Race for Warriors and Quiet Waters

A fundraising campaign for Warriors & Quiet Waters
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On June 20th,  I will be running a local version of the Bighorn 52 miler that was recently canceled due to the COVID pandemic.  But, I am not just running for the sake of running (although I do that a lot). I am running for a very good cause.  I am running to raise money for Warriors and Quiet Waters, which through the experience of fly fishing in Montana is a catalyst for positive change in the lives of post 9/11 combat veterans and their loved ones.

As many of you know, I am a Bozeman native and served 21 years all over the world, first in the U.S. Navy and then as a U.S. Diplomat. Half my career was spent overseas and three years ago I returned home. I am a Board member for WQW and two years ago, WQW hosted our first all-female fly fishing experience for post 9/11 combat veterans. Please read my attached article regarding this fishing experience and our organization.

On June 20th, I will push my physical and mental endurance to reach the 52 mile finish line that will start and end at my house, running through the beautiful Bozeman landscape. My inspiration will come from dedicating my miles to a hero and their family members that gave his/her life for our freedom. My parents, veterans themselves, along with friends and colleagues will be supporting me along the route. Please join me on June 20th by making a contribution to this incredible cause-any size helps create impact. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.
