Through partnerships with numerous community organizations R3SM has repaired more than 450 homes and rebuilt 37 homes. R3SM’s major focus now are recovery efforts following the January 21, 2017 tornado. This has been described as one of the worst Mississippi disaster since Hurricane Katrina. There were almost 2,000 homes affected by the disaster. We are actively working in 3 Declared Counties (Forrest, Lamar, and Perry). We are working with volunteer groups locally and throughout the nation that are supporting our missions to Recover the Pinebelt!
The Lucas - Varando Volunteer House owns and operates the renovated historic “Robinson Inn”.
