R4C Drive for Palestine Emergency Fund

Rabbis for Ceasefire is holding a fundraiser for the Palestine Emergency Fund.

A fundraising campaign for Grassroots International

When the world is turned upside down, where power is given to those who would abuse it and the fate of the most vulnerable hangs by a thread, our tradition responds – not with hopelessness or despair, but with action. With Israel ending the ceasefire and resuming its bombing campaign, we must reaffirm not only our belief that every life is a universe but also our moral imperative to act. This means standing in solidarity, offering support, and ensuring that Palestinians on the ground have the resources they need to care for their communities.

About the Palestine Emergency Fund

Grassroots International’s Palestine Emergency Fund moves 100% of donations to trusted community-led organizations throughout Palestine, building on a 40-year legacy of partnering with local human rights defenders and providers of community-based emergency relief. The work of Grassroots International’s partners is born of unwavering commitment to self-determination, justice, and liberation. Since October 2023, their partners in Gaza have delivered food, water, and supplies to over 84,000 families and supported 30 mobile health care teams amid the total collapse of Gaza’s health system. They also continue the critical work of documenting genocide and war crimes by the Israeli government and seeking justice through international courts. These efforts include:
  • Distribution of food, water, and supplies: reaching displaced households with food, water, blankets, clothing, hygiene kits, and other essentials, as well as supporting farmers and fishers.

  • Medical care: deploying mobile health care teams that are providing emergency health services, life-saving medications, sexual and reproductive health care, mental health services, and more.

  • Specific attention to marginalized populations: organizing among women, children, and people with disabilities, among others, to ensure that their specific needs are met.

  • Ecological restoration: beginning to assess ecological impacts of the genocide, heal the land, promote access to clean water, and support life.

  • Movement infrastructure: rebuilding centers of community care and local organizing.

  • Human rights defense: carrying out formal documentation, communications, and legal work to hold the Israeli government accountable for human rights violations, from the local to the international levels.
