Poodle Paws Helping Veterans

Poodle Paws is working towards helping our local veterans. We need to become certified through Assistance Dogs International so the VA will recognize our dogs.

A fundraising campaign for Poodle Paws Assistance Dogs

Our goal is to help our disabled veterans gain the independence they once had through the use of Assistance Dogs. Our dogs are specifically trained for our veterans who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and many other disabilities.

For the Veteran's Affairs to recognize our organization, we need to become certified through Assistance Dogs International (ADI). ADI requires a two year probation period before any certification can take place and it all starts with a 6 week class in NY. We will be sending Crystal Crum to this class, so she can gain experience in working with people with disabilities and especially work with veterans. She will also be able to make great connections with other organizations working towards the same goals, to help our veterans.

We invite you to join our organization in making a better life for our amazing soldiers who have risked everything and lost so much. They deserve every ounce of support our community can give to them.

Become a Hero for our American Heroes

June 8, 2016

Did you know there are 22 veteran suicides every day? Did you know a service dog can be trained to specifically help a person with PTSD in many different ways?

Our mission for you is to join our cause to save our local veterans from an unimaginable fate. Now that you know the mission, there are quite a few options:

  1. Donate any amount to Poodle Paws Helping Veterans
  2. Become a fundraiser for our cause by getting the word out to all your friends and family
  3. Recruit your friends and family to become fundraisers as well.
  4. Spread the word about our veterans in need to anyone you meet.

If you complete any option in your mission, you will be helping to lower the number of veteran suicides and become a welcomed hero to our american heroes!
