Pawsitive for Heroes was first created in 2013 and taken under our umbrella when our President/Co-Founder first received a service dog, by suggestion of his own kids. He never thought the difference it was about to make, would be a life changing once. He immediately started to develop Pawsitive for Heroes and set out to make the same changes of other Veterans in need of them.
It is a proven fact that service dogs to change and save our Veterans. Along this journey what we found was that by rescuing dogs from shelters and training them to be service dogs, we were also rescuing Veterans and creating a powerful team. Please help us continue giving these service dogs to our Veterans. These are NOT pets, these dogs are a medical necessity.
