ODE Summer Book Drive

ODE is launching this campaign to buy textbooks for our summer school students! In the classroom, teachers and students are able to share books and resources. However, teaching online has meant students can no longer access our shared library of books/print resources. As we prepare for our first-ever online summer session, teachers are trying to figure out how to get books to students in order to further extend and enrich our online teaching environment. Having their own books would also enable students to study independently during the summer session and beyond.  Our students are highly motivated learners and are hungry for more tools to use at home, especially now. Here's the thing: we don’t have a budget for textbooks for every student. They have been too costly for us as a fledgling nonprofit. Summer classes start in 6 weeks: can you partner with us today to help us deepen our students' online learning experience?

The books we need cost $1000 total. We plan to buy used books as much as we can in order to keep costs down. Any money gathered above and beyond the cost of the books will be used for the ongoing needs of the program.
