Northwestern/Shirley Ryan MSK Clinic Campaign

Orthotics and educational materials for uninsured patients to support physical therapy progress at home

A fundraising campaign for CommunityHealth

The residency program at Northwestern Medicine and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is raising funds to provide educational materials and orthotics to the patients we treat in our partnership with CommunityHealth, where we care for persons with musculoskeletal complaints who are uninsured and unable to pay.

These funds will help sustain the work of the clinic and allow the program to give back to the community of Chicago in a tangible way.

Founded in 1993, CommunityHealth is the largest volunteer-based health center in the nation. We provide high-quality, customized care at no charge to uninsured adults in Chicago who experience material poverty. Services includes primary and specialty care (such as physical therapy, dental, cardiology, gynecology, ophthalmology, etc.), prescription medications, lab testing (including COVID-19 testing), mental health services, and health education (exercise, healthy cooking, chronic disease management) – all offered at no charge to low-income, uninsured adults in Chicago.
