The Matching Challenge
When it was determined that we wouldn't be on the golf course this year, the President's Cup Golf Classic Sponsors rallied together and revamped the golf classic into a Matching Challenge.
They are challenging the community (golfers and non-golfers) to come together in support of North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) students.
The Need
This pandemic has highlighted our society's need for trained, educated workers such as health care workers, researchers, analysts, innovators, business managers, and police officers. People with a desire to serve in these careers sometimes need a financial helping hand.
"Thank you for this scholarship. It truly means the world to me. I am currently transitioning to a new career in law enforcement, one I have always wanted but never had the opportunity until now."
YOU can be that helping hand.
The average age of NHCC students is 25. Over 65% attend part-time so they can support themselves and their families. Thirty-five percent qualify as low-income. Many are currently battling unemployment issues while trying to figure out how to support their families and continue their education.
For every dollar you donate, the Matching Challenge team will match up to $14,000. These dollars will create access and provide educational opportunities for NHCC students.
