Mutual Ground has been transforming lives for more than 47 years - we work hard to provide prevention, intervention, and on-going services for anyone who may need us - because we don’t want anyone to
suffer in silence.
At Mutual Ground:
- We are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
- Our prevention programs reach more than 55,000 elementary, middle and high school students each year, educating them on topics relevant to them and giving them an avenue to get help.
- Our staff and volunteers answer more than 4,500 hotline calls annually.
- Our shelter, with 28 beds and 7 cribs, runs at about 90% occupancy,
providing safety to over 200 adults and children annually. - Our advocates respond to 195 calls each year to local emergency rooms when a victim of domestic or sexual violence presents – when you break that down it is essentially responding to a local emergency room every other day to provide comfort and support.
- Our legal advocates assist in filing and obtaining approximately 300 orders of protection for victims each year.
- And overall, we serve more than 1,500 individuals annually – about 400 of them being children.
- We also provide over 2,500 hours of service to support individuals impacted by substance use.
