Muslim Law Students Association Fellowships

The first annual MLSA Art Show at CUNY Law “Qisas: Narratives of Resistance” will bring together a litany of poets, spoken words artists, visual artists, and speakers all for the purpose of supporting the work of law students who dedicate their summers to serving the needs of the Muslim community. Public interest legal work is typically unpaid, but is vitally important, especially as the Msulim community becomes an ever increasing target for immigration crackdowns, hate crimes, violations of civil liberties and a host of other abuses. Come and celebrate the rich traditions and artistic expressions of the Muslim community. Let these stories of resilience forge bonds of understanding, trust and solidarity.
