Martin J. Sherwin Fellowship

A fundraising campaign for The Graduate Center

The Martin J. Sherwin Fellowship in Nuclear Age History will support scholars working on biographical projects in nuclear age science, politics and diplomacy. The fellowship honors Martin Sherwin (1937-2021), a pioneer of nuclear age history who co-authored the Pulitzer Prize-winning American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer

The Fellowship honors Marty's commitment to mentoring young scholars and using biography as a lens to understand this critical period in history.

Gifts made in support of the Fellowship will be matched as part of the Leon Levy Center's Endowment Campaign.

Gifts can also be made via check by making the check payable to the Graduate Center Foundation and mailing to
