Make Music Day 2017

Bringing a worldwide celebration of music to Western New York!

Make Music Day is a FREE world wide celebration of music that started in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique. Arts Services Initiative of WNY launched Make Music Day in Buffalo and Niagara Falls on June 21, 2016! It's inaugural year featured 30 performances at 16 venues including Silo City, Larkin Square and Niagara Falls State Park and had a total audience of approximately 5,000 people!

Make Music Day follows the belief that the arts are for everyone by hosting a free day long festival on June 21 (the first day of Summer) where everyone can participate, no matter their skill level, age or location. Make Music Day also features an educational component where music teachers show the public how to play instruments for free.

Make Music Day is made possible by donations, an energetic team of volunteers and passionate music lovers. In 2017, we'd like to increase the number of performers, venues and music lessons and we need your help to make that happen. We hope you consider funding this worthy cause that invites the Western NY area to MAKE MUSIC!
