Dear Field Hockey Fans and Alumnae,
I hope you’ve heard stories of our fabulous 2019 season in which the Lady Bald Eagle Field Hockey Team won seven of our last eight regular-season games, including our final four games (outscoring our opponents 11-0 during that stretch) to reach our first Atlantic 10 tournament since 2014.
There, we reached the semifinals before losing to top-seeded St. Joseph’s 2-1. It wasn’t the ending we wanted, but we’ll rise again and come back even stronger for 2020. The future of our program is bright, but obviously our trek ahead is not without challenges.
COVID-19 has had a major impact on our ability to raise funds this off-season. All campus events and activities have been postponed or canceled. Camps, and tournaments that are part of our annual revenue stream have not taken place. COVID-19 was an unforeseen challenge for us all, but together we will unite and find a way to get through it. Of this, I am sure.
That is why we need your help!
We hope that all field hockey alumnae, fans and supporters will “pitch in” and help us through the unprecedented circumstances COVID-19 has presented us with. Our goals for the program have not changed. We are intent on continuing our ascent to the next level. Your support is crucial for us to get there.
We have all worked so hard for so long to establish an amazing and historic field hockey tradition at The Haven. Your continued support as a member of the Haven Field Hockey Family means so much to our student athletes. Our girls are ready to put in the work. I hope that you will consider making a gift to our program to help them on their quest to be the best. They won't let you down.
