The Get Growing Foundation
is a 501c3 non-profit organization creating gardens, educational programming and year-round outreach to
the public, with a particular focus on today's youth.
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and motivate the next generation of gardeners through community outreach and education, experience-based learning, and horticultural job training and placement.
The Get Growing Foundation is the educational programming and outreach partner of the Chicago Flower & Garden Show® and leads the way in creating gardens, workshops, seminars and year-round programming that not only educates, but inspires and motivates the next generation of gardeners.
In collaboration with the Chicago Flower & Garden Show®, Get Growing Foundation raises awareness and funding for hands-on programs specifically designed to provide practical advice in the areas of horticulture, gardening and conservation.
Gardening connects us to our world, from our food to our neighbors to our planet as a whole. We’re here to help foster that connection and encourage people of all ages to be a part of Chicago’s thriving horticultural legacy.
