Lehman L.I.F.E. (Leaders Involved for Everyone) is an alternative break program at Lehman College that gives students the opportunity to participate in service-learning projects at home and abroad. Lehman L.I.F.E. students share their experiences in this short Gala video - enjoy!
For the past 12 years, Lehman L.I.F.E. students have traveled to places near and far—from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the Dominican Republic to South Africa and India. Whether they are helping families rebuild their homes destroyed by a natural disaster or working with children in orphanages or learning how to be advocates for unrepresented groups, students return from these trips grateful, humble, and motivated to be change agents in the world.
For the sixth year, the School of Education is reaching out to friends and
departments across campus to lead the biggest collaboration and unity of
students, staff, faculty and administrators in support of our students. With your donation,
we can surpass last year’s fundraising of $2,000!
All proceeds will provide students with travel scholarships for Lehman L.I.F.E. Alternative Break programs.
Spring Break 2019: Lehman students will continue the hurricane relief work done by CUNY students over the summer of 2018 in Puerto Rico.
