Launch the Jazz Forum-Westchester's Only Jazz Club

Make the Jazz Forum your habit! Help us launch the only intimate jazz club in Westchester for new fans and devoted followers of Jazz and Brazilian music.

A fundraising campaign for Jazz Forum Arts
Mark Morganelli, founder of Jazz Forum Arts, had a long history of producing, performing and promoting jazz since 1979 when he opened the Jazz Forum in Greenwich Village.  Until 1983, the loft club featured major jazz artists and became a legendary NYC jazz club.  After closing the club, Mark began presenting in other venues, founded Jazz Forum Arts as a 501(c)(3) and launched a summer free concert series -- 13 years of the Riverside Park Arts Festival, and continuing through today with the 6th annual Jazz at Lyndhurst and 16th year of Dobbs Ferry Summer Music Series.  After moving to Westchester, Mark had a 23 year run of presenting Jazz at the Music Hall in Tarrytown along with concerts at SUNY Purchase, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Paramount in Peekskill and many other regional venues.  In 2015, Mark and his wife Ellen Prior moved from Dobbs Ferry where they had raised their two sons (Ian, 25 and Jaren, 21) to Tarrytown to live "above the store" in a commercial building.  Mark and Ellen are about to launch the next phase of their lives with the reinstatement of the Jazz Forum at 1 Dixon Lane.  Their first fundraiser on November 21 - a "sneak peek" at the club-to-be and a celebration of David Amram's 85th birthday drew over 250 jazz enthusiasts, neighborhood leaders, and community members.  It was an overwhelming success, raising $8,000 with a $5,000 match from ArtsWestchester.

The club will open in Spring 2016, and needs your help to be fully operational - presenting the finest quality jazz and Brazilian musicians at reasonable ticket prices, along with superb wines, a full bar and a "quiet" menu of charcuterie, cheeses and desserts.  Please join us as inaugural donors and we will make the Jazz Forum your weekend habit!
