Camp KEEP and CALM are two of our community's education gems. You would be hard pressed to find a local resident who has not been impacted by either or both of these programs.
- Camp KEEP (Kern Environmental Education Program)
Environmental camp with two campuses on the central coast where six graders go on week-long field trip with their schools. More than 250,000 students have attended the program in the past 50-plus years!
- California Living Museum (CALM)
CALM is our local zoo that displays animals native to California. CALM provides education to more than 20,000 Kern County students annually through on-site programs and operates the most extensive wildlife rehabilitation center in the Southern San Joaquin Valley.
