The Joseph S. Murphy Scholarship for Diversity in Labor is committed to fostering diversity in leadership in labor. This scholarship was created for women and students of color who wish to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies at CUNY SLU and is one of the only scholarships offered in the nation that supports excellence in labor and the Labor Studies academic discipline. It is available to students nationwide and covers the full cost of an undergraduate or graduate degree.

What do Diversity Scholarship students go on to do? Many pursue careers in organizing, politics, labor leadership as well as non-profit leadership and management.
