Ithaca Generator is a volunteer-run Makerspace - we benefit the community by providing access to tools, technology, and training, at very low cost, to adults and families in Ithaca and beyond.
From the very beginning, Ithaca Generator has been entirely funded by membership dues and small donations. This year we are raising money to make a more vibrant and accessible workspace! Your donation will help us take IG to the next level - offering a space that is healthy, bright, and safe for people of all backgrounds and ability levels, with more cutting edge tools and better training.
Hundreds of members, guests, and visitors have come through our doors this year and expressed the same needs. Ithaca needs a workspace that is accessible, that is well stocked and well lit, with areas for quiet design time as well as professional-level cutting edge workshops for wood, metal, electronics, precision fabrication and more. A space that is inviting, with healthy air and street-level access.
Now is our opportunity to meet those needs and support Ithaca's inventors, artists, freelancers, hackers, teachers, students, entrepreneurs, and gamers - by expanding into a beautiful new space in the Press Bay Court development and investing in the infrastructure to make it all possible.
