This is where we come in, working closely with the community to cut down on recidivism, crime, and lethal overdoses. We are part of Idaho ’ s Response to the Opiate Crisis ( ) IROC team involved with Recovery Idaho. There are 9 centers in Idaho.

The opioid crisis has made its way to Idaho. Drug induced deaths in the state have increased by 30% from 2012 to 2016, according to the Idaho Department of Health and We lfare. Idaho is considered one of the worst states when it comes to people using prescription drugs for non - medical reasons, according to pharmacist and ISU Vice President of Health Sciences Rex Force. We are here to help Idaho has a smaller population th an many states. Though it might seem that this would protect it against some aspects of this growing drug crisis, In the past decade, for example, 5% of Idahoans ages 12 and older, or 96,000 people, reported alcohol dependence.
Key Offerings We offer sup port groups for mental health and substance abuse . We have education as well as sober activities at low or no cost. We coordinate our services between hospitals, jails, and other institutions. We work hand in hand with the community as well as helping peop le in mental health or substance crisis , we are a to community entities such as the Crisis Center of South Central Idaho, probation and parole, local jails, and hospitals .
Almost anyone can volunteer.
