Tablets for Tots
But, they need your help!!!
Early childhood development is a critical period that sets the stage for a child's academic, personal and behavioral growth. Children at this age are developmental sponges – soaking up everything they see, hear, touch and learn. They are learning the letters of the alphabet as well as lifelong gross motor skills (that’s why we used those safety scissors in kindergarten).
In today's educational environment, tablet computers play a vital role. A couple of our teachers have used their personal tablets with the kids with amazing success! On-line applications and resources help children learn key educational concepts like colors, numbers, letters and counting. They also develop their gross motor skills through a tactile experience with the glow of a touch screen to help keep them attentive and engaged.
Our young students would benefit tremendously from at least 6 iPad tablets with toddler-proof cases. Will you help them?
