Who we are:
Horizons-St. Catherine-St. Lucy (“SCSL”) was launched in the summer of 2023, at St. Catherine-St. Lucy school, which serves students from the Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Horizons –SCSL program participants had the opportunity to receive small group academic instruction as well as swimming and other recreational activities to enhance their summer learning experience. The program has continued to grow since the launch and anticipates serving more than 100 students in the 2026 summer.
Why donate?
By donating to Horizons-SCSL , you are helping us expand our summer programming to a greater number of students, to continue to elevate the nature of the programming provided and to create the opportunity to bring students together year-round to reconnect and support each other towards their goals. Donations made to this site are under the 501(c)(3) of Horizons National Chicago. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Horizons- SCSL is always grateful for In-Kind donations, which, among other things, can include:
- Food for special events
- New classroom supplies
- Tickets for kid-friendly performances or sporting events
