A fundraising event for Unity Farm Sanctuary

Event Information

Close your eyes for a moment and think back...

what is your first memory of petting an animal?

Perhaps it was the mane of a horse, the softness of a duck’s feathers, or the curiously surprising roughness of a pig’s bristles?

Maybe you looked into the warm brown eyes of a goat sunning themselves and shared a quiet, moment with a fellow creature.

Or it could’ve involved the feeling of a cat purring or a puppy licking your nose.

Whatever it was, it was special! And at that moment, you probably felt an instant natural affection for animals -- and they've held a special place in your heart ever since.

As humans, our instinct is to care for and help animals, especially those who can’t help themselves or deserve a better place to live.

We always think to ourselves, “Somebody should do something about that.”

The good news is, YOU are definitely a person who wants to see goodness in the world, and YOU can be that somebody today.

We’re so blessed to give rescues, like Bob Crockett Cow, the safe, loving home they deserve when they find their way to the Sanctuary.

Bob and Wallace's Story...

In a bit of an emergency, Bob Crockett arrived with Wallace the Red about two and half years ago. They’d been held in tiny veal crates at a farm stand, never getting colostrum (first mother’s milk) and getting sicker by the minute.

Once in our care, antibiotics quickly helped Wallace and eventually helped Bob too.

We were pretty excited when Bob and Wallace graduated from being bottle-fed to going on an all-hay diet six months later.

They sure love their hay now! A bale a day each!!!

In fact, if you’ve ever been onsite here at 7:45am, 11:45am, 2:45pm or 5:45pm…you’ve most certainly heard Bob Crockett (and probably Pal McTrouble) vocalizing their opinions about the speed of “room service”!

Residents like Bob and Pal (and all of their sanctuary buddies) need folks like YOU rooting for them too -- and they need your help.

As we gear up for the fast approaching wintery weather, it’s time to buckle down and get the residents the food and supplies they need to make it through the next several months.

Can you help them out??

A donation truly goes a long way for them, and here’s what you can provide, starting right now:

  • $13.28 -- 1 bale of hay provides a cow with a nutritious, balanced diet for the day. Yep! Each cow eats a whole bale of hay every day.
  • $23.50 --A big load of wood shavings to keep one of the chicken homes cozy and clean for an entire week.
  • $36.98 -- 2 bags of grain to add nutritional balance to our llamas’ and alpacas’ daily food regime of hay. They get VERY excited for grain!
  • $66.79 -- A 50 pound bag of carrots AND 2 cases of romaine lettuce. That’s 3 days of pure yummy happiness for the pigs
  • $97.90 -- Tons of vitamins for 2 horses for a month, fulfilling the daily vitamin and mineral requirements of our equine friends (especially vitamin E and selenium that’s missing in northeast hay).

The residents here at Unity Farm Sanctuary are amazing animals who are unique, have their own stories and unbelievable personalities, and at some point needed a new home.

Will you help more animals like Bob, Wallace the Red, Pal and all of their furry and feathered friends enjoy the life they deserve and donate today?

After all…

P.S. Any amount you contribute makes a difference in their lives and changes their world! We promise.

Coming to the finish line for Home + Health + Hope = Happy Residents!

October 26, 2021

Because of you!

Our Fall fundraising campaign for October comes to a close Noon Wednesday,

Between GiveGab ($538) and our Network for Good ($1834), we have raised $2372 of the $2970 goal! I think we can make it by the end of the campaign, and that is only because you have been behind us and have sent your love to our residents.

Just this morning we purchased over $2000 of equine medications for the next quarter to restock what we had run out of: Prascend for Cushings Disease, Equioxx for pain management, Metformin for insulin resistance. We work hard to manage any pain, and to control any disease progression or symptoms.

Your donation to the Home + Health + Hope = Happy Residents will bring alpaca grain, shavings, vitamins, veggies and hay to the sweet rescues we all love here.

I just have to say - Thank You!
