19th Annual HIKE for the Homeless

Help us support homeless children and families in the Chippewa Valley.

A fundraising event for Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley

Event Information

Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm

The 19th Annual HIKE for the Homeless benefits Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley, which owns and operates the Beacon House homeless shelter in Eau Claire. We provide homeless families with temporary shelter and services to help meet employment needs, rental assistance, emergency food, bus passes and gas vouchers.

In 2021, we provided shelter and other services to 34 families with 70 children in our community. Our annual event helps provide us with the financial resources to provide these services.

We envision a day when every child has a place to call home and an opportunity for a bright future

It is through your support that we can continue to meet the needs of the children and families at the Beacon House. Your support is very much appreciated!

The HIKE is held at the River Prairie Center in Altoona, WI. Registration, pre-HIKE activities, and refreshments begin at 5pm with the HIKE beginning at 6pm. Participants will walk all or part of the 2.8 mile course. Following the HIKE at 7:30pm will be drawings for gift baskets.
