Assistant Dean for Evening Summer classes from 1961-1975.
Prof. Stein has served the department and the college as a mentor to many of the department’s junior faculty members. Prof. Stein mentored many students at BCC including our current Adjunct Lecturer, Prof. Oneyda Lopez, who fondly remembers all of his work to encourage her and other students at BCC. Also, former Earth Science major Alejandro Prieto says that “he loved that man like a father.” Prior to coming to BCC, Professor Stein was an instructor at Brooklyn College of CUNY from 1955-1959. Prof. Stein held a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College/CUNY and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from City College of New York/CUNY.
We are eternally indebted to Prof. Stein for all his hard work to advance the department, BCC, CUNY, Oneyda, Alejandro and the rest of our BCC students.
