Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue (LOHR) invites your business to sponsor National Help a Horse Day on April 26, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM. This event kicks off our participation in the Seen Through Horses Campaign in May—a nationwide mental health initiative led by Horses for Mental Health (HMH).

Why This Matters

Help a Horse Day is a national call to action—raising awareness for the protection of abused and neglected horses and supporting the sanctuaries that care for them. It’s the first part of LOHR’s mission: People Helping Horses.

The second part? Horses Helping People.

Each year, millions of Americans face mental health challenges. Equine-assisted services are a proven source of healing—but demand often outweighs funding. The Seen Through Horses Campaign, held during Mental Health Awareness Month, raises vital funds and shares stories of transformation through the powerful bond between people and horses.

LOHR is fully accredited and certified to provide equine-assisted therapies. We work with veterans, youth organizations, and private clients—making a real impact right here in our community.

From April 26 through May 31, we’ll be raising awareness, hosting events, and inviting the public to be part of this movement.
