Chronic pain affects 1 in 3 people and costs the US $635 billion a year in health care and lost productivity. Pain stops you in your tracks and can affect every aspect of life including relationships, work, income, self esteem, and spiritual beliefs. Chances are you know someone who has chronic pain.
The Chronic Pain Resource Center of South Texas was founded in 2017 to help people find a way back into life through community education, support, and connection with resources. We empower people and families to create happier, healthier lives. Our services began with a free support group in September 2017.
In 2018 the Chronic Pain Resource Center continues to offer this free support group that meets every other week. We continue to participate in community health fairs and offer community events.
With the help of your donation, we hope to add additional support groups to serve individuals in the military and children who live with chronic pain. Other goals for 2018 include facilitating health education workshops about diabetes, stress management and family communication.
Join us in this important mission to empower families in your community and create a stronger San Antonio. Your donation can help a person find a way back to a productive, meaningful life.
