In 2004 Grandma Chang needed support with her gas bill, and a friend recommended that she come to Hanul. With its long standing history of supporting and welcoming seniors from across the Chicagoland area, Hanul would help her file the necessary but often cumbersome paperwork.  When she entered, Grandma Chang discovered much more than a social service agency. From the congregant meals to health and computer classes, Hanul was there to transform her life.

Grandma Chang has been coming to Hanul daily for over 15 years and what once started as a necessity has turned into a home and community of friends. Her love of Hanul has expanded so much, that she has become one of our most loyal volunteers!
