Taking the Gospel to the Garbage Dump

True Bethel takes the treasure of Gods word to the garbage dump.

A fundraising campaign for Project Mona's House

I am so excited to share about an opportunity that I feel will allow me to really give back.  August 2nd -9th, I plan to travel to Guatemala City, Guatemala  to work with families who live in the garbage dumps; some of which are orphans, have been abandoned, or are trafficking victims.  This is an awesome opportunity for me to show them the unfailing, unconditional, and unmatched loved of God.    I hope after I share a little about what I will be doing that you would be willing to help me make this desire a reality by praying and sowing a financial seed.

I will be traveling with a Christian Humanitarian Organization called Ramp Global Missions (www.RampGlobalMissions.com) who believe that the best was to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to serve others.  They have different mission sites in the United States of America, Guatemala, India, and Nepal.  I have chosen to work at their site in Guatemala because the harvest is so plentiful there, but there aren’t enough laborers.

While I am in Guatemala, I will be working diligently to serve those who live in extreme poverty, many of which do not know the Lord.  We will prepare care packages for approximately 360 families that will consist of food, personal hygiene and wellness items.  Each evening we will serve dinner to close to 1,000 people who have no access to food or clean drinking water.  Each day our group will split up to accomplish our overall goal--- which is to Reach As Many Possible with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.  We will accomplish this by doing the following:

1.        Street Team- This group will go to each of the 360 families who live in the dump and take them care packages.  This is our way of meeting a practical need, while asking them to allow us in their home to give them something spiritual and eternal…Jesus.

2.       Construction Team- This team will construct 2 homes for families without shelter.

3.       Bible Camp Team- This team will conduct a fun filled bible camp for over 250 children who call the dump their home.

I would love if you would be willing to help me be a part of this awesome opportunity.  I believe that it will give me the chance to grow in ways unimaginable.  I also have a heart to serve these families, and help spread the Gospel.  Ever since I learned about their stories and, the things some of them have had to endure, my heart has been burdened for them.  Any seed that you are able to sow would be greatly appreciated.  The total cost of the trip is $950.  This covers my room and board, ground transportation, food, and projects.  If you are unable to sow, please come in agreement with me that I’ll be serving in Guatemala August 2018.
