#GivingTuesdayNOW

As the nation struggles to contain the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, YWCA is on the front lines of response and recovery.

Event and training cancellations and grant funding reductions may have significant implications for our operations and sustainability. That's why we are launching #GivingTuesdayNow. #GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving as an emergency response to fund our programs that support our community’s most vulnerable families.

We’re providing families information on how to stay safe during this crisis, while also looking at how we can supplement the resources available to the public as families struggle with housing, food, utilities, childcare, and income reductions. 

Our Health Services Program (HSP) continues to educate community members via our social media platforms. By collaborating with community physicians, immigration lawyers, and mental health specialists, our staff is ensuring that our community members receive the most up to date information regarding COVID-19 and its influence on our physical and mental health. 

YWCA Lake County has offered a variety of before and after school programs to the community that have a tremendous influence on children and young people. Without assistance with these programs, we would be unable to meet the demands needed to assure our children have programs where they are taught skills to survive in an ever more technological world, how to handle themselves in social situations, and be better citizens.
