Giving Tuesday for Sunrise Children's Services

A fundraising campaign for Sunrise Children's Services

Providing hope and healing for hurting children and families through Christ-centered ministries.

GIFT HOPE THIS #GIVINGTUESDAY AND ALL YEAR LONG

From the drug epidemic that’s ripping families apart to children in search of a safe place to call home, the need has never been greater for us all to take action and give lifesaving support and hope to so many. Sunrise Children’s Services is counting on your generosity to help kids and families in our state and we can’t do it without your help.

ONE FAMILY’S SUCCESS WITH SUNRISE

Carolyn moved with her husband and children to Kentucky and life was hitting them hard. She was pregnant and their six-year-old son, Donald, was dealing with survivor’s guilt from overcoming cancer at age two. Her husband was also starting a new job. Shortly after giving birth, Carolyn received notice that their landlord was selling their house and they had just three weeks to find a new home...

But then Sunrise found them.

Carolyn had this to say about the help her family received from Sunrise:

“We just thought we were getting services for Donald, but Sunrise realized there were real-life struggles going on in our family. Sunrise helped us with resources in trying to find a new home and made sure all three of our kids went to school with everything they needed, and that was very helpful. Sunrise was the only one that saved my family in the two-and-a-half years we lived in Kentucky."

The positive impact Sunrise had on Carolyn and her family remains to this day.

Carolyn recently shared with us, "You were the only friendly faces we had in our darkest times. The Sunrise employees who helped us became like family and they wanted the very best for all of us."

Will you join us in this fight and give as much as you can to help more families like Carolyn's?

SHINING A LIGHT OF HOPE AND HEALING

Sunrise’s Family Services program is a growing network of caring mental health professionals who support families in an outpatient therapy setting. The goal is to preserve and uplift families while helping them work through and overcome challenging life circumstances.

Both individual and family services are available to address emotional, social, and situational problems such as: stress, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, school or workplace difficulties, trauma, and more. Sunrise team members are here to assist families in coping with an immediate crisis, a troubling experience, or a longer-term problem while helping them heal.
