So That No One Faces Cancer Alone!

A fundraising campaign for Imerman Angels
Fear. Uncertainty. Vulnerability. Those touched by cancer often feel all of the above. But through the guidance of someone who has been there before (a “Mentor Angel”), their journey becomes so much more bearable - replacing fear with hope, uncertainty with confidence, and vulnerability with strength. This is one of the reasons why Imerman Angels has grown to help tens of thousands of people in all 50 states and more than 90 countries during the past 10+ years. You can help further Imerman Angels’ mission by donating to the cause or registering to become a Mentor Angel!

No One Should Face Cancer Alone

Fueled by a passion to make a difference and help others choose triumph over tragedy, Imerman Angels was created over 10 years ago to provide cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers with one-on-one support from a Mentor Angel – a volunteer who has walked in their shoes and emerged stronger on the other side. Support seekers are carefully paired with Mentor Angels using criteria including type and stage of cancer, gender, age and lifestyle.

Imerman Angels’ initial vision has now multiplied many times over to become a movement that has connected more than 37,000 people in all 50 states and over 90 countries. Mentor Angels make a powerful impact on support seekers, shining the powerful light of hope in the midst of darkness. If your life has been touched by cancer, you can also change the life of someone currently facing their own cancer journey.

About the Organization

Imerman Angels is a non-profit organization providing free one-on-one cancer support to cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.

Through our personalized matching process, cancer fighters are connected with someone who has experienced a similar cancer situation (a Mentor Angel). While each cancer experience is unique, Mentor Angels are matched by similar age, gender, and cancer type, giving fighters the chance to ask personal questions and receive support from a peer who is truly familiar with the situation.

Frequently, caregivers experience feelings similar to the person facing cancer. We connect those caring for or grieving the loss of a loved one with Caregiver Mentor Angels who can help provide support and comfort through the journey. A loved one may be a family member (such as a child, parent, spouse, sibling, or grandparent) or friend who has had cancer.

Our service is absolutely free and helps anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage level, at any age, living anywhere in the world.
