Giving Tuesday at CommunityHealth
The holiday season is just around the corner, and we invite you to kick it off with us on Giving Tuesday!
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic,
CommunityHealth’s role has been more important than ever. Throughout the
pandemic, we kept our doors open and continue to provide essential, preventive
care to our patients. This year, we hosted mass vaccination events with the Chicago Department of
Public Health in Belmont Cragin, one of the areas of the city hit hardest by
the pandemic.
With your support, we launched a microsite partnering with Onward Neighborhood House
to bring telemedicine to the Belmont Cragin neighborhood in April. Telemedicine
enabled us to remove the barriers like transportation, child care, and taking
entire days off work that can keep our patients from being able to access the
care they need. But not everyone has the technology available to conduct a
video visit from their home, so we created CommunityHealth at Onward House, a
telehealth microsite where our patients can visit a location close to their
home equipped with state-of-the-art technology to participate in a video visit
with their provider.
We
are innovating every day to keep our patients, volunteers, and staff safe,
while continuing to meet the highest standards of care for individuals who
might not have anywhere else to go.
This year has brought us all incredible challenges, but together we can end it in high spirits. We are extremely grateful for your donation and support because no one should go without healthcare, especially during a global pandemic.
In addition, on GivingTuesday, we invite you to join us for an incredibly fun night of 90's trivia hosted by our Associate Board. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people closer together in our local communities. Click here to RSVP for Trivia Night.
