Give a little to our little ones!

A fundraising campaign for Dorothy Bennett Mercy Center Inc

Join DBMC as we take part in #givingtuesday to raise money to provide our students with a STEAM Program.

DBMC was founded in 1995 to serve the economically poor in the Fort Greene and Bedford Stuyvesant sections of Brooklyn in response to the community’s stated need for an After-School program for elementary school children.  Located on the grounds of the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Brooklyn, DBMC continues a long tradition of Sisters of Mercy service to the inhabitants of Brooklyn.
Our main goal for our youth portion of programming is to create artistic, educational activities and service projects  that nurture not just their knowledge base but also their understanding of their own environment in the hope that they continue to grow and evolve allowing the children to develop their talents beyond purely academic subjects.

  • In order for us to do this we need to update our programming tools as a lot of our After School and Educational upgrades need to be more technology based.  We have implemented more of a STEAM-based programming during After School Hours. In order to fully attain the goals we have set we need some help!

  • All the donations we receive will go to the purchase of program materials for our students. The goal of $2000 may seem like a lot, but I have faith we can reach this goal!

Will you please help our "little ones"?
