Give Today, Help for a Lifetime Holiday Campaign

Give Today, Help for a Lifetime

A fundraising campaign for SGA Youth & Family Services

SGA Youth & Family Services is one of Chicago's longest standing non-profit organizations. Founded in 1911 by pioneering social reformers, including Jane Addams, SGA has been providing innovative, and collaborative services that work to create lasting solutions to families struggling with the barriers of poverty and adversity for 105 years.

Today thousands of families living in Chicago's most impoverished communities are faced with many challenges. Making sure they can safely leave the house without falling victim to the violence on our streets is just one of the many barriers they face.

SGA helps break down these barriers that deprive far too many families of the ability to:

  • Feel safe in their neighborhood.
  • Get their high-school diploma or GED.
  • Find a job that helps them keep food on the table.
  • Raise a child who lives beyond his or her first birthday.

SGA provides tailored services to individuals facing these challenges in each family we touch, so that each person can address every hardship they face head on and begin to pave a path to success.

We do this through a unique approach called the Cycle of Opportunity. From birth through obtaining their first job, every person we work with, every family we help has the opportunity to change their lives and pass on what they learn to future generations, ultimately working together to transform the neighborhoods where they live into thriving communities.

Last year alone, SGA impacted 16,000 people in Chicago. All services were provided free-of-charge.

Chicago's children and families need your help now more than ever! By giving a gift today, you are creating powerful change and lasting opportunity. As the story below shows, the right support at the right time helps build brighter futures. We hope we can count on you this year to help us create more success stories!

Martin's Story

P.S. By giving today you help a child who is lonely and afraid to have hope. You help a young mother realize her dreams of going back to school and raising her children safely. You help a young man turn his back on gang violence and gain training and a job to support himself and his family,
