The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors® (GACAR) is proud to host its 8th Annual Charity Bowling Tournament at Splitz Bowling Alley on July 27th, 2022.
This year's charity of choice is Family Promise of Gainesville.
About Family Promise of Gainesville:
Mission: Through the collaboration of local faith and civic groups, Family Promise of Gainesville provides families experiencing homelessness with compassionate care that includes case management, education, housing, meals and transportation until they can transition to a home of their own.
With GACAR’s support, Family Promise will help to provide housing for local families with children in our community. Families like this:
"I came to know Family Promise in 2020 when the pandemic was just striking hard throughout the world. After losing my job due to mandatory shut downs, I was at a loss on what I was going to do to survive for my child and myself. I found myself eventually not having adequate shelter, and for the first time ever in my life sleeping in my car with my daughter."
According to the Alachua County school system, there are over 650 children who are identified as homeless. With your help, we are working to end childhood homelessness in our community.
