This Giving Tuesday (Dec 2), help us reach our $10,000 goal for the Futures Initiative at CUNY, New York City's public university, where we advance equity and innovation in higher education. Our CUNY Peer Leaders program is a testament to the university's commitment to supporting student's leadership and creative endeavors. It provides a platform for students to develop their skills and contribute to their communities, while also offering valuable mentorship and support from staff, faculty, and graduate students.
The impact is real: Our Peer Leaders have a 73% graduation rate that exceeds national averages. One PhD Fellow honed her skills in equitable pedagogy with us and now leads Hunter College's Academic Center for Excellence. We have served 263 undergraduate leaders, 52 doctoral fellows, 1,898 HASTAC Scholars, and offered 491 team-taught courses that help build more just futures
In a time of devastating funding cuts to public higher ed, FI provides the scholarships, mentorship, and skills that CUNY students need to thrive. Higher education remains the most crucial tool for social mobility, and we do everything in service of the communities we represent.
Every gift counts towards our goal of $10,000. Help us close the gap.
