Furthering Education for Artists as Entrepreneurs

We are celebrating 50 years of Las Artistas this year! We would like to give back to the community in appreciation for their continued love and support through the years.

Las Artistas, as a non-profit organization has always been formed by local artists. Together, these artists organize an art and fine craft juried show, always the weekend before Thanksgiving, where local artists come and sell their art. Las Artistas members are committed to the organization’s mission and additionally, give art workshops at local schools and other educational programs throughout the year.

Our mission is to foster art and art education in the region. To fulfill this mission, we are looking to raise funds that will allow us to organize a series of free workshops by successful artists that will focus on teaching the skills necessary to thrive in the modern world and to prepare for the difficulties ahead. From easy tasks like how to properly edit an image for a portfolio or social media, to more complex undertakings such as business financials and tax information. We would also be having workshops in which artists will further their creativity and knowledge in different art techniques. All workshops will be practical for artists at any level. 

We would love to engage more than ever in the growing art scene in El Paso, and to do so we would like to offer our expertise, connections, and experience to other artists in the community. Please consider donating for more cultural development in our city.
