CommunityHealth, founded in 1993, is the largest volunteer-based free health center in the nation. We deliver integrated, high-quality, customized care at no charge to low-income, uninsured adults in need of a medical home.
Your support enables CommunityHealth to provide primary and specialty care, dental care, prescription medications, lab testing, mental health services, and health education classes at no charge to low-income, uninsured adults in Chicago. This is critical for preventing and controlling chronic illnesses like diabetes and high blood pressure, and it helps keep the uninsured from flooding the emergency room with non-emergency issues.
We invite you to our inaugural Run for Health 5K Run and 1 Mile Youth Walk, where we aim to bring a family-filled day building community with West Town, our patients, and all of Chicago. We will nurture collaborative ideas, explore gaps in coverage, identify barriers to care that still remain, and discuss ways we can work together to overcome them.
