Fuel Your Neighbors

Ensure No One Goes To Bed Cold Or Hungry

A fundraising campaign for Capstone Community Action

Anna's Story:

In the middle of the night during the dead of winter, Anna and her 3-month-old infant ran out of heat. She called Capstone Community Action’s emergency heating assistance hotline for help and we sent a fuel dealer to her home.

When the truck couldn’t make it up the driveway because of the snow, Anna called back in a panic. Our staff called a plow truck, clearing the driveway and delivering fuel before sunrise.

Neighbors in Need:

For households like Anna’s, making ends meet is getting tougher. Even working multiple jobs doesn’t cut it. Meanwhile, older Vermonters are increasingly struggling to get by on their social security and retirement savings.

This forces households to sacrifice the most basic needs. Yet no one should have to choose between heating their home and feeding their family.

Support Families Like Anna's:

That is why your support of Capstone’s food shelf and emergency heating assistance are so important. You help families like Anna’s access critical supports in times of crises. You help ensure they have a safe, warm home and enough food to eat, so their kids are nourished and ready to learn in school.

Your gift of $25, $50, $100, or $500 will ensure families like Anna’s do not go to bed cold or hungry.
