Emergency Fund for Homeowners Impacted by COVID-19

Help Habitat CFC homeowners, who often work in industries that will be hardest-hit, navigate this uncertain time.

As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds, we anticipate that many of our homeowners may be adversely affected, facing unexpected lost wages and increased childcare costs, especially as many homeowner families work in industries most affected—retail, food service, medicine and more.

Our donors and volunteers have asked if there is any way that they can offer a helping hand to families who may be struggling. This emergency fund will be distributed to homeowners and future homeowner families at the discretion of our Family Services staff to help families impacted by this crisis. If we exceed our goal of $5000, we will determine the best use of additional funds - either going towards additional emergency interventions, or towards funding our mission. We hope that this will ease some of the financial burden and ensure that families have food & needed supplies during this uncertain time.
