services that enrich the lives of children in need
Operation School Bell, our largest philanthropic program, provides new clothing to underprivileged and homeless Clark County school children who may not attend school due to inadequate clothing. These children are referred to Operation School Bell by the Clark County School District Title 1/HOPE homeless program. Each child receives two complete outfits, shoes, socks, underwear, age appropriate book, a dictionary for Grades 4-8 and one jacket. Each child also receives a blanket, school supplies and a health kit. It is vital for children's attendance at school that they have appropriate clothing. Being properly dressed in clothing that fits well also helps the children feel more like their peers and increases their self esteem, all of which promote learning and a positive school experience.
