“Did You Know?” - Donation period November 12 -27

Helping to facilitate all our ministerial work throughout the year

Your donation to "Did You Know?" will help to offset the opperating expenses incured at STM working on our mission to worship God, teach and live the gospel of Jesus Christ, and serve God’s people in word and deed!

Did You Know that we are a business under the cross? Our "Did You Know?" campaign is meant to raise awareness of why and where donations are directed for our operating expenses at STM. We have bills to pay for our faith home, just like we all have bills to pay in our homes and everyday life. Each week on the cover of our church bulletin we have a "Did You Know" item which gives various examples of “where the money goes” from our Operations collections. A few of our recent “Did You Know?” examples are listed below.

  • Our Gas and Electric bill to operate both buildings on our campus is over $110,000 annually. This averages to about $300/day, 7 days a week.

  • We have budgeted nearly $10,000 for telephone, internet, and cable for this fiscal year.

  • It costs the Parish close to $4,000.00 each year for communion wine and altar bread.

  • It costs over $3,000 each year to take the trash out (with the help of our waste disposal service emptying the dumpsters on a regular basis).

  • We have budgeted $4,500 for HVAC maintenance for this fiscal year . . . and that does not include any unexpected repairs that may be required!

Our permanent Church and Multi-Purpose Parish Center are vital to continuing the mission of Jesus in our time and place. It is in these structures where our nearly 100 ministries bring that mission to fruition.
